Fantastic Voyage; Animatic Act 1 Skin Waste Land (Audio)

You Know. It is really hard to find and create Mumble like sounds to use for talking.

This is only Act 1 which will be roughly about one minute of the project while Act 2 & 3 will be a minute each.

Script to Screen; Pre Viz; 3D Animatic

The 3D Animatic of the storyboard. This has literally crashed my computer to the point where I can't use the Video editing Programs anymore, so I'm going to try and sort it out and if I can't then I won't be able to have a 2D Animatic sequence for tomorrow.

I apologize in advanced for any areas that look out of place or shotty camera work.

Script to Screen: Character Redos

Wanted to try out a different style of drawing characters to get away from the style I'm comfortable with and it was kind of fun to try out.

The general design is the same, but I tried making a style that you would usually see on a kids show.

Taking from the feedback that Phil gave me, I decided to redo the overall design of the characters. The Scientist is fine so I kept parts of him, but the Hero looked kinda plain and could be better so she was completely redone.

I decided to make her look a bit Rebel like but I feel like I didn't achieve that so I'm going to try at her again and see what comes up. This is what she is at the moment.

There is more stuff I would like to add and take away, meaning that i'm going to have to start again with her.

Thought I would also show the process of how this piece came to be if anyone was wondering.

Step 1. Blocking out the shapes. Step 2. Outlining the Figure. Step 3. Rough Sketch. Step 4. Line Art. Step 5. Color and finalizing.

The Scientist I didn't have to make that many changes to. With Phil stating that he could be more like Doctor Octopus or have some sort of cybernetic enhancements to show the Roller Skates and how they work , I thought that was a far more better idea then what he was before.
So from that advice this is what came out.

Had a lot of fun with this and it really shows how the robotic legs can be seen as Skates and I went ahead and made him have a Robotic Arm as well, to kinda show as if he was in a accident in one of his experiments.

Story Board Redo is coming along kinda slowly but ill be done eventually.

Script to Screen; OGR Part 2

Story Board Frame 1 - 80.
Red Arrows - Camera Movement
Green Arrows - Character Movement
Blue Arrows - Prop Movement
Camera fades from black to see hero and pans around then zooms to her face where she salutes

she walks back through the door, camera swipe to table where scientist zooms pass shaking the desk and causing things to move.

cup falls from his fast speed but he luckily catches it and takes a sip

he hears alarms going off and investigates the monitors to see hero approaching

he pushes a button. the camera pans into the screen where it becomes the actual scene where the hero has reached the base of the path to the tower

camera zooms backwards from hero towards the tower and starts moving, rolling towards her

camera starts getting faster as it approaches the hero, rolling as it goes.

camera cuts to hero jumping out of the way and the scientist laughing at her on screen and pushes another button

the terrain starts moving and shifting as deadly traps emerge blocking the path. the hero overcomes these obstacles (camera will follow as she goes through each one without cuts or transitions and rotates while it follows)

she enters the tower. the scientist becoming more worried starts zooming around the room on his skates and stops at a console.

he slams on a button where the camera cuts to the hero walking up a flight of stairs doing so, the steps start to get removed and are approaching quickly. hero notices this and is bewildered

she snaps out of it and runs up the stairs camera following as she goes. she makes it, takes a breather and approaches the door. grabbing the handle.

Camera cuts to scientist, panning towards him while his leaning on the table smirking while looking at the door. cuts to looking at the door and pans towards the door as weapons are shifting slightly. camera cuts back to hero and then cuts to a comic like scene with both of them with the door and wall in the way. she opens door and barges in.

door closes behind her and camera fades to black.

I no longer have Adobe Acrobat or Photoshop because my Adobe Creative Cloud subscription has ran out so I can't upload the Project until tomorrow when I'm in one of the computer rooms to do it.

What If; Texture Designs 1/?

Some texture designs for bricks and windows with Spec and Bump Mapping

The bricks will be the natural bricks used and be in many colors and the windows will be the common window design, but will vary in black and white.

Both pics are rendered with Maya Hardware since Mental Ray is still Buggered.

@Phil New Concept Rough Idea (With Color Comp)

A rough Idea of the main Concept I am edging towards out of the others. I decided to have this shot to kind of make it more sinister looking, to show that there is actual a dominant being running this city and I think the Color Comps below show that.

The other Ideas I have make take a little while to try and get a perspective but hopefully not to long, the other ideas are a shot of the old district of the city where most of the fighting took place with ruined buildings and the other is a shot taken in the streets looking up at one of the district walls showing civilians going through border patrol to the next district over.

Here is the first Idea.

The ones I like personally are 2,3,5,7,8.

What If: Metropolis; OGR V 2.0

What If Metropolis; Final Concept Piece.

This is my final concept shot with the collaboration of my Chosen Artist, Gareth Pugh.

There are many things I would like to of done with this piece, but no matter what Photoshop I use, either it being at uni or home, the pen pressure on the tablets I use will not work so that meant I could not use some of the brushes I wish to of used which is disappointing.
Either way, It came out better than expected but I just wish I could of done more if it weren't for the technical difficulties. hopefully when it is sorted I can redo this piece with what I wanted to show.

Final Concept.
The shot is taken from the top of one of the Walls overseeing the District with other walls in the far distance.

What If Metropolis; Update, Buildings and Rough Concept

Thought I post what I have at the moment considering I properly won't be able to post it all up at once.

For the way I use my Artist (Gareth Pugh) is that I'am using the shape, color and Patterns that he uses in his fashion designs as well as using he designs from early on in his career to the present as civilian clothes and governmental clothes (White being Government and Black being Civilian).

So yeah, here we go
I'll be posting the rest when I have finished them which would probably be early during the day of the OGR so it will be posted late the same day.

These are the Buildings that will be visible in the Concept.
